Ed Palmer

Ed joined SouthRoads in March 2019 and brings a wealth of experience to the civil construction team, as the Civil Construction Divisional Manager.  He holds a Diploma in Engineering Practice (Civil) and is a Chartered Member of Engineering New Zealand.

Ed has a background in a variety of civil construction projects from new bridge builds to water treatment plant upgrades. He has a passion for getting things right the first time and setting high standards for both himself and his team. Ed focusses strongly on health and safety and delivering quality results while adding value for our clients. Prior to engineering, he spent ten years working in the mining industry; mining in Australia, South Africa, and Canada, which gave him exposure to large scale projects.

Outside of work, Ed has a young family which keeps him busy. He enjoys bushwalking with his kids and getting out for duck shooting.
